Applying The Secret - Part 5 - Defining Your Purpose, Vision And 7 Steps For Setting Goals

You can define your purpose by looking at your talents and the special gifts that have. Your purpose is the reason why you are here. Your purpose gives your life direction and meaning. Your purpose may be to be the best parent you possibly can for your children, or it may be to teach or heal others, whatever it is it defines who you are inside. If you can't determine your purpose, everything else is wrong. You're not sure which direction you’re headed, so you are just wandering around aimlessly.

Your purpose should be something you really love to do. Don’t think that if you have a special talent you may not be able to make money from it. You can make money doing anything if you know and believe that you can do it well. Don’t settle for the safe bet what you can do, which will surely earn you money. This is the easy way out and will not challenge you. You should do what you really love and absolutely fall in love with that idea. Then go for it!

If you fall in love with an idea, your conscious and subconscious minds are resonating (they are in sync with each other). We have already learnt that what you think creates your vibration which causes actions and reactions. So it is important that your purpose is something you love. If you truly love an idea, it will guide you… you don’t have to guide it.

When you are in love with your purpose, it will keep you highly motivated and eager to continue working towards it. You will find a hidden ambition driving you. Time will pass so fast without you noticing it and you will never have enough hours in the day to do it. You will feel like you can continue doing it all night long.

Purpose gives meaning to why you are doing what you are doing. You need to get past the negatives to find your truth. Really figure out for yourself what you are good at, regardless of what others might think. Keep in mind that negative images (aka old limiting paradigms) have been influencing you from shortly after you were born. Remember that everyone has failed in life, but it is not really that we have failed; it is more like we have not been in harmony with what we were trying to achieve.

You are a unique individual with your own particular strengths and talents. If you can focus on your strengths that come to you in perfect harmony, you will see the wonderful complex person you are a uniqueness that is only within you.

Do only what YOU want to do… not what others want you to do. And once you have found your purpose, don’t let anyone else dissuade you or diminish what you are trying to achieve or to tell you how to do it. Always believe in yourself.

When you have the right purpose, you will easily develop the right vision. When you have the right vision, you will quickly recognize the right goal.

To express your purpose you need to create and maintain your vision. Your vision is the strategy behind the fulfillment of your purpose. Vision is what connects your daily goals and your lifetime purpose.

There are 3 levels of vision:

  1. Who you want to BE
  2. What you want to DO
  3. What you want to HAVE
To form your vision you must address all 3 levels, starting with ‘BE’, then ‘DO’ and finally ‘HAVE’. To do this successfully you must remove all limitations off your mind and purpose. Remember: all things are possible. Then you need to look at the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of each of the 3 levels of vision. Your vision should state what you want versus what you don’t want and should always be written in the present tense (I am / I have etc).

Your vision will appear in physical form when the necessary gestation period has elapsed and that gestation period is governed by the Law of Gender.

Whatever your purpose is, you first need to plot your course to get there. You just can’t start trying to manifest financial freedom… you need to work out the various steps and route you are going to take to get there. Set out short term goals that will lead you to your long term goal.

Follow these simple 7 steps for effective goal setting:

1. Your long term goal may be your ultimate purpose. Start with setting an annual goal.

2. Break that down to quarterly goals.

3. Once the quarterly goals are set, you can make monthly goals

4. Then weekly goals which will lead to the successful completion of your purpose.

5. Once you have a weekly goal in place, then you need to define what you are going to do tomorrow to achieve your weekly goal.

6. It is important for you to write down your schedule for tomorrow at night before you sleep. Be sure to include the necessary routine tasks you need to complete along with the actions required for the completion of your weekly goals.

7. By writing down what you are going to do tomorrow, you mind will be working on those tasks whilst you sleep. This gives you a valuable head start in the morning. On a subconscious level you will know what to do and when.

Follow this instruction every day and you will be sure to reach your ultimate purpose.

Once you have worked out what your goals are, you cannot expect them to just appear magically. You have to put in the effort and actions to make them work out. And don’t get so busy planning the actions in your vision that you end up not doing anything. This is fear in disguise. The plan does not have to be perfect, just get the basics going and the rest will follow.

Don’t confuse your purpose with your vision. As Bob Proctor once said, your purpose is what the sun is to the solar system. It does not change and it doesn’t move. Your vision and goals are the planets that revolve around your purposes perimeter.

If your goals and vision are not being achieved, it is important to know that you can stop what you are doing, re-evaluate your purpose, vision and goals and continue on. The biggest mistake you can make is ignoring your inner self telling you that you are on the wrong track. Your instincts will tell you if you are going the right way or not, so be sure to listen to them. Learn from your mistakes and keep on going.

To summarize:

  • You must believe that you already have what is in your vision.
  • You should be specific and think big – remove all boundaries.
  • Make sure your vision covers your physical, mental and spiritual needs
  • Remember that thoughts are nourished through repetition and belief. Don’t lose sight and keep them in your mind always.
  • If you have faith and belief in one moment, and then doubt and fear the next moment, you are only going to attract confusion and anxiety.
  • So establish your purpose, build your vision and set your goals.
  • Make sure you fall in love with your vision and your goals are something you really want.

Short Hair Style

Changing hairstyles, especially going from long to short, can be a major decision. In contemplating this decision, there might be some serious concerns, especially if this will be the first time that the world sees the new you with short hair. Even with any kind of apprehension about going from long to short, the following information shows that there are many reasons to consider any type of short hairstyles.

The first step in making the change is to overcome the worry about losing the long locks. Many women yearn to make the change knowing they will prefer the short look but find themselves latching on to the hairstyle of their early 20s. There is a sort of fear these women have in letting go of their locks. But, the fact is, that at some point in life, a shorter hairstyle might be more suitable and flattering for the mature woman.

Obviously, as with any change in style, there are pros and cons to making each change. However, in speaking of the change from longer to shorter hairstyles, there seem to be more advantages to making the clip than disadvantages. To begin with, a shorter hairstyle allows for more flexibility in suiting any type of lifestyle. If the right qualified hairstylist is chosen, there is a wide range of cuts and styles to choose from. The options are unlimited! This allows for going from sassy one day to curly and elegant for that very same night.

A beautiful style depends on a good cut. Once the perfect cut is achieved, there are many ways to style that cut including dramatically curly, subtly wavy or sharply spiked. And, with the use of tools like gels, sprays, and hair dryers, there are an unlimited amount of styles that can be achieved. One of the most important and popular styling tools is the hair straightener or flat iron. A hair straightener can easily transform parts of the hair or change to whole entire style altogether.

Another advantage of wearing a short hairstyle is that it can be ever-changing and never dull with all the different styles that can be a worn. Most people with long hair often wear it back in a pony tail for convenience which can become monotonous. On the other hand, with a short hairstyle, the shape can be changed in many different ways as the hair grows for variety in styling. All types of hair can be worn short. Thicker hair can be cut in layers to create a sleek look while thinner hair might look best cut into a bob or a crop cut which allows for a fuller appearance.

Short hair is perfect in staying current with the latest fashions. This is because so many of the classical styles that were once very popular years ago have suddenly come back into the mainstream. Some of these include the shag, bob, and pixie cuts. It is sure that if one of these styles is worn it will never go out of style.

Perhaps the biggest benefit of short hairstyles is the convenience and ease of care that these styles allow for. This applies most directly to those in the business world who need a style that looks professional but is also easy to manage with a busy lifestyle. A short cut allows for a hairstyle that can be managed just by washing, adding a small amount of gel, towel drying or blow drying for a moment, and then simply heading out the door. Because of the lack of length, shampooing and conditioning takes only moments and styling is fun and easy. And, with the right haircut, hair falls into place naturally without any fuss.

Mostly, a short hairstyle offers an unlimited amount of achievable looks from stylish and chic to sensual and sexy. Whether dancing at night or refined during a business day, short hairstyles are the way to go for easy change quickly. An out-of-date long hairstyle will be immediately transformed to something dramatic and stunning by changing to a short hairstyle. Most women, after making the change, are amazed how much younger they look and feel. The positive change from long to short can be felt from the inside out! Most women immediately feel more energetic and vibrant just by making the cut.

The time is right to shorten up your hair if you are ready for an amazing change and are tired of the same old hairstyle of previous days. The most important thing to remember is that there is nothing to lose; if the cut does not fit your lifestyle, the hair will grow back! Chances are though, after making the change to a short hairstyle, you will never go back.

Finally in grappling with any last minute concerns, keep in mind that short hairstyles do not have to look boyish. The following tips can help maintain an attractive and stylish look:

* Perming the hair adds volume, height and curl
* Use a razor edge cut to soften the hair
* Try different ways of wearing your short hair--slicked, spiked or naturally tousled are only some of the options
* Add layers for a completely new look
* Choosing a new angle for the cut keeps it trendy and stylish
* Use jewelry or pins to pull back short strands

Flat Fee MLS Listings - Is This The Future Of Real Estate

Realtors are all a buzz about this new form of listing houses on the MLS (multiple listing service). Some feel it creates more work for the buyers agent, while others see this as a way to tap into the For Sale By Owner market.

It use to be when you made the decision to sell your home, you essentially had two methods available to you. You could list your home with a traditional real estate company and pay 6-7% commission or you could try selling on your own "for sale buy owner".

Research shows that nearly 50% of all home sellers start out trying to sell their property on their own. Although some home owners are successful with FSBO, according to the National Association of Realtors (NAR) home seller survey, only sixteen percent of sellers actually sell their home without exposure on the MLS. And many of them end up giving away their commission savings to the buyer to close the deal.

Realtors tend avoid for sale by owner properties because they are working with buyers and have no written agreement to be compensated. If the seller has not agreed in writing to pay a commission to the agent, the buyer could cut the agent right out of the deal and negotiate directly with the seller. It happens....

With flat fee MLS service, the seller has agreed in writing to pay a commission, usually 3%, to the buyers agent. This motivates Realtors to bring the seller a buyer.

How it works:

Real estate commissions by law are negotiable. In a flat fee listing, the listing agent agrees to a flat fee instead of a percentage of the sale price. This can be anywhere from $300-$600 for the service of adding your house to the MLS. Then you choose how much to pay the buyers agent in commission for bringing you a buyer (typically 3%). So in the sale of a $200,000 house you would pay $6,000 plus the flat listing fee, saving a close to $5,700 in commissions. The plus side is in the listing agents contract, the right to continue advertising you house FSBO. So in the event you find a buyer without an agent you save on all commissions and only pay the flat listing fee.

  • What do you get with flat fee MLS listing:

  • Advertise your home on Realtor.com

  • Market to buyers working with a Realtor through the MLS

  • Market to Buyers working without a Realtor

  • Retain your right to sell your property by owner

  • Avoid paying any real estate listing commission by paying a flat rate or fixed fee upfront

  • Only pay a commission if a buyer's agent sells your home

  • Why would a listing agent want to do this?

For real estate agents this can be an opportunity to increase revenue by listing more homes. There are many people who refuse to use realtors because of the 6-7% commissions, but are more than willing to pay 3%. With the increase of internet marketing, realtors can reach more people because all they are offering is to list the house on the MLS. Services are minimal and the listing agent really won't be trying to find a buyer for you, but rely on the buyers agents. This allows them to list properties in a larger area and in some cases in other states.

With the increase of house prices, is the 6% sales commission going to survive or will flat fee listings be the wave of the future. Only time will tell...
