Make Up in 2 Minutes

Make up does wonder to the overall image. It makes the face polished and pretty looking. I have met one too many women who told me they have no time for make up application. These women are definitely at a disadvantage in the job market, because women who put make up on, makes about 35% more than those who dont.

A perfect make up application has many steps. However, some days, women have to wake up and run out for work, with no time for breakfast or a long make up routine. If you are a busy woman with no time in the morning, follow this quick make up routine that will guarantee you looking simple and fresh.

These are the tools and make up you must have on hand face powder, big powder brush, lipstick, eyelash curler, mascara and concealer.

Be sure the concealer is a shade lighter than your face. By the time it covers the dark blemish, the colour of the coverage will be very close to your natural skin tone. The face powder colour is to match your own face colour. Use a lipstick that is a shade or two darker than your lips for radiance. As for mascara if you are a brunette, you may choose very dark brown to black. However, if you are blond or very fair, use taupe or medium brown instead for more harmony.

Here are the steps for a 2 minute make up application:

1. Wash, tone and moisturize your face, apply sunscreen, then put some lipbalm on the lips.

2. Dab on concealer using your finger tip preferably your ring finger. Dab it on on any blemishes you have, as well as on your undereye circles. Blend well.

3. Dust on face powder with a big fluffy powder brush.

4. Put on lipstick.

5. Curl your eyelashes, sweep on mascara.

Voila - simple and fresh. Now you are ready to rush out!

How Important is Wedding Favor Packaging?

You found the perfect wedding favor. However, the packaging on another similar favor appears to look better, but it is not your first choice for your wedding favors. Or you have found two nearly identical favors by different manufacturers, the favor with the plain packaging is within your budget, but the one that has more elaborate packaging is just out of your planned budget. What is a bride to do?

The packaging of a wedding favor may appeal to some brides, over the actual favor itself. They want their wedding favors to look nice and present well. However, the packaging is only that and will long be forgotten after your wedding has passed. The favor inside the box, the quality and usability, should be more important than the outside beauty.

If youre concerned about the packaging of your wedding favors, youre not alone. The current trend in wedding favors is to insert them in deluxe packaging pre-tied with a ribbon and a thank you tag (or sometimes a personalized tag). While these options are pretty, they can increase the pricing significantly. With a bit of creativity, some help of your bridesmaids, and a few hours, you can create the perfect presentation of your wedding favors without the additional costs of these new deluxe favors.

Many wedding favors usually come in a plain white gift box. These boxes can be wrapped, stamped, embellished, bagged, or tied with a plain bow. If you dont have the time to gift wrap each one yourself, enlist the help of your parents or bridesmaids. Some items dont need to be gift wrapped, but can be removed from their packaging, and placed on the place setting itself.

If youre torn between two identical favors, one with and one without specialty packaging, first decide if there is a unique way to display the favor minus the packaging. A bottle stopper or bottle opener that has an area that you can tie a ribbon through, can double as a place card setting and holder. Simply take you place card and punch a hole in the top corner. Insert a ribbon and loop it through the end of the favor and through the hole in the place card. You instantly have place card holders and favors, and have presented them uniquely on your place card table.

Contrary to popular belief among brides, the wedding favors they choose will not ruin the wedding if they are a shade of blue off, if the ribbon isnt tied just so or if their favor is gift wrapped or bagged. Guests are happy to receive favors they arent concerned that the ribbon is a hint off color nor will they notice. The only person in the room, who this matters to, is the bride. And unfortunately, its these little things that can drive a bride batty. So relax, your favors dont have to be perfect. Because no matter how you package them, your guests will love them.

Uterine Prolapse Exercises - Take Control Now!

The pelvic floor muscles are comprised of ligaments and tissue that hold the uterus in its proper place. When there is damage or strain on those muscles causing them to weaken, either from several vaginal childbirths, or a loss of estrogen, the uterus may prolapse, or sag and eventually descend into the vaginal canal. The symptoms of uterine prolapse vary in severity, with some women experiencing no sign of the condition at all.

Moderate to severe cases of uterine prolapse may cause symptoms that include:

- A feeling of heaviness or pressure in the pelvis.

- Painful intercourse.

- Abdominal or lower back pain.

- Feeling something protruding, or the sensation that something is about to fall out of the vagina.

The Kegel exercise

Kegel, or pelvic muscle exercises are named after the doctor who popularized them, teaching women how to strengthen and tone these muscles, helping eliminate incontinence, and reducing the chances of a prolapsed uterus. 15 minutes each day of Kegel exercises can make a noticeable difference in bladder control as well as strengthening the pelvic muscles, which are like any other muscle in the body, needing exercise to stay strong.

To find the correct muscles, start out by trying to stop the flow of urine, youll know if youve found the right muscles if you are in fact able to stop urinating. Another method of locating the pelvic floor muscles is to lie down, insert a finger into the vagina, and again bear down again as if you were stopping the flow of urine. If you feel a tightening around your finger, youve found the pelvic floor muscles.

To do the Kegel exercise, begin by lying down, tightening the pelvic floor muscles, and then holding for a count of three to five seconds. Relax the muscles for another count of three to five, and then repeat the process over again for another set, doing the same thing three times a day. Remember to have patience, as it may take weeks or even months to notice a difference.

Your goal should be to gradually work your way up to 10 or 15 repetitions each time you exercise. Once youve mastered the practice lying down, try doing the exercises sitting down, and then while standing up, varying the position each time. Be careful not to tighten any other muscle group or hold your breath while doing Kegel exercises, particularly if youre having problems with urinary incontinence. Putting pressure on the wrong group of muscles may cause extra stress on the bladder.

To avoid a prolapsed uterus:

- Do regular Kegel exercises.

- Maintain a regular, healthy weight.

- Practice proper lifting techniques and avoid straining.

- Control coughing by not smoking and treating chronic coughs and bronchitis.

- Have regular physical check-ups that include pelvic examinations.

- Older women with concerns may want to speak to their doctor about estrogen replacement therapy (ERT).
